BROTHER PRINTER CLEANUP UTILITY

BROTHER PRINTER CLEANUP UTILITY

Brother Printer Cleanup Utility

The Brother printer cleanup utility helps to delete or remove the Brother printer driver, firmware, and software utilities from the computer storage. The residual printer software creates unnecessary troubles to the computer functioning.

1. When you had installed the Brother printer Full Driver & Software Package on the computer, the cleanup utility would have also be installed along with the package. Follow the steps to uninstall the Brother software;

  • Connect the Brother printer and the computer which has the Brother Utilities either through a wired or wireless network or a USB cable.
  • Maintain the printer and the computer turned on throughout the entire process.
  • Find the All apps list on the computer and then select the Brother app.
  • Choose the Brother Utilities option from the list of options.
  • The Brother Utilities window shows up; click on the Tools menu from the left panel.
  • Right away on the right side, select the Uninstall menu.
  • Wait until the uninstallation is over and then restart the computer and verify if all the printer software have been removed.

2. If you did not download the full driver package, then use the below procedure to download the uninstall tool of the Brother printer.

  • The Brother printer and the computer connection should be made.
  • Visit the Brother official page from the browser of your computer.
  • Search for the Brother printer model and select the right printer model.
  • Choose the correct OS Family and OS Version of the computer you are using and then click the OK button.
  • The printer’s support page opens, scroll to the Utilities section, then click Uninstall Tool and download the tool on your computer.
  • Open the Uninstall tool file that is downloaded and run the file.
  • Move the file to the desired location and select Decompress to decompress the file.
  • When the decompression is done, a folder is created with the name “Rempnp” or “Delinf.”
  • Open the folder and look for the downloaded file having the name “BrRemPNP.exe” or “Delinf32.exe” and double-click on the file.
  • The Uninstaller dialog box appears when the Delinf32 file is open, thus select the Brother printer model, then choose the connection type, follow the instructions, and finally click the OK button.
  • If you open the BrRemPNP file, the Device Driver Uninstall Tool dialog box opens up. Click on the tab which has the printer name and select the correct printer model from the drop-down list. Then click, OK.
  • When the uninstallation finishes, further select OK and remove the Brother printer & computer connection.
