Brother HL 6180DW Printer Not Connected

  • Delete all the queued print jobs and then perform the print operation.

  • Usually, to perform the advanced print operation from your computer to the printer, you should install the printer’s CUPS driver on it.

  • Initially, make sure that your Brother printer is placed within the range of the wireless router.
  • Next, check whether the access point or Wi-Fi router that you’re using for the Wi-Fi setup is connected to a stable internet connection. If not, change the connection, and then try to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi router.
  • Restart the Wi-Fi router and the printer.
  • Check whether any electromagnetic devices, such as an oven, Bluetooth gadget, etc., are placed in between the printer and your router.

A paper can jam in the following parts of the printer MP tray, Tray 1, Tray 2, Duplex Tray, back or inside the printer. To remove the jammed paper from your printer, follow the simple instructions given below.

  • As the first step of troubleshooting, restart your Brother printer.
  • After your printer restarts, check whether the same error message Paper Jam is displayed on the printer’s screen. 
  • If yes, look for the jammed paper in the above-mentioned parts of your printer and if you find any, gently remove it out.
