Resetting the toner will result in overriding the error and improve your print output. Sometimes the error may occur even due to the usage of a non-Brother toner.   • Turn off your Brother printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the device and wait until it cools down.
  • Press the front cover release button on the printer.
  • Open the front cover, then remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly from the device.
  • Push down the green lock lever.
  • Detach the toner cartridge of Brother HL 6180 printer from the drum unit.
  • Make sure that you handle the cartridge carefully.
  • Do not spill or scatter the toner.
  • Now, take out the new toner from the protective cover.
  • Remove all the protective materials from the toner.
  • Gently shake the cartridge to spread the toner all over the cartridge.
  • Insert the toner cartridge firmly inside the drum unit until you hear the click sound.
  • Make sure that the green lock lever lifts automatically if you place the cartridge properly in the drum unit.
  • Once the drum unit gets assembled, insert it into the machine.
  • Make sure that you place it properly.
  • Close the front cover.

  • Press the Power button.
