Brother HL 2280dw Toner Replacement

When the printer shows toner error, try to replace the old toner cartridge with a new one. Do the following steps to replace the Brother HL 2280DW printer toner.

Press and hold the ON button to turn on the Brother HL 2280 printer.

To remove the old toner from the drum unit, open the front cover of the Brother HL 2280dw Printer setup and take out the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly from the Brother printer.

Release the green lock lever and the toner cartridge from the drum unit assembly.

Remove the packing material, protective cover, and tape from the new Brother HL 2280dw toner cartridge.

Place the new toner cartridge into the drum unit and make sure to fit the toner cartridge in the correct position. You will hear a sound when the toner correctly fits the unit.

Move the green tab inside the drum unit from left to right repeatedly to clean the corona wire.

Now, re-install the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly.

Once you complete the toner replacement, close the front of the Brother HL 2280 printer.

Brother HL 2280dw Toner Reset

Proceed with the following instructions to reset the Brother HL 2280 toner manually.
Before you start with the manual reset of Brother toner, open the front cover of the Brother HL 2280 printer.
Press the Clear key and release it after some time.
Use the Up arrow to view the number 12 on the display and press the Start key.
You will see the accepted message on the display when you press the OK key.
Now, you can close the front cover of the Brother HL 2280 printer.
