The Brother DCP-T700W is an ink tank Wi-Fi printer that can print 27 pages per minute and comes with a year’s warranty. Continue with the installation procedure given below to set up the printer.

  • Unpack the brother printer and check all the contents in the package, which includes a power cord, driver CD, and a USB cable.
  • Remove all the protective tapes, covers, and plastic films present outside and inside the printer.
  • Lift the control panel to a convenient angle.
  • Connect one end of the power cord to the printer and the other end to an AC outlet.
  • Choose your country by following the LCD screen instructions on the printer.
  • Turn on the printer. Open the ink tank door, and raise the cap of the ink tank color you are going to fill.
  • Unpack the ink bottle one by one by removing the cap and protective films from each bottle.
  • Open the tip cover of the ink bottle and pour ink into the correct ink tanks.
  • Squeeze the middle portion of the bottle to disperse ink into the tank.
  • Keep the nozzles of the ink bottle tightly fixed to the tank to avoid spilling of ink.
  • Wait till the ink distribution process completes, and continue loading paper.
  • Lower the ink tank caps tightly and close the ink tank door.
  • Take out the paper tray completely.
  • Open the output tray cover and move the paper guides to the ends in such a way to fit the paper edges.
  • Fan the paper stack and align it by tapping on a flat surface before loading it into the tray.

  • After loading the paper, move the guides to adjust it according to the paper size.
  • Close the output tray and reinsert the whole paper tray assembly into the printer.
  • Check the print quality by pressing the Start button.
  • If the quality is excellent and clear, you can select Yes to complete the print quality check.
  • Set the basic settings like date and time using the printer’s control panel navigation buttons.
  • To connect your device to the printer, choose either wireless setup or wired connection using a USB cable.
  • Install the software from the driver CD in the package. If your device doesn’t have a CD-ROM drive, you can download the software from the official website of the printer.

  • Unplug the power cord from the connected electrical outlet.

  • Check for the jammed paper inside the printer and press the green levers at both sides to take out the paper
  • Open the scanner cover and remove the jammed paper present inside the printer.
  • Check for any bits of paper inside the printer. Take a look at the print head and corners for torn pieces of paper and remove them, if present.
  • Open the Clear Jam cover behind the printer and remove any paper inside it.
  • Close the scanner cover, jam cover, and reinsert the paper tray assembly into the printer.
